01 — Origin

It Started With Someone I Loved

Years ago, before Zeydrt existed, art wasn't a business to me.

It was something personal.

I still remember the first oil painting I ever truly noticed. It wasn't in a gallery. It wasn't famous. It was hanging quietly in the home of someone I loved.

It wasn't something people talked about.

But it was always there. Hanging quietly on the wall, watching over everyday life. Morning light passing across its surface. Evening shadows resting gently on its texture.

At the time, I didn't think much about it. Not yet.

03 — Purpose

The Beginning of Zeydrt

Years later, homes became more modern. Spaces became more carefully designed.

Prints were everywhere — many looked perfect at first glance. Sharp lines. Clean colors. But they felt temporary. Replaceable. Forgettable.

Because they were.

A print has no memory. No gesture. No moment of hesitation or confidence from a human hand. When you look closely at a printed canvas, there is nothing to discover — it is the same at every angle, in every light.

A hand-painted oil painting is different. Every brushstroke is a decision. The texture catches light differently at 8am than it does at dusk. The impasto ridges — paint built up thick and deliberate — cast real shadows. It changes as your home changes. It lives.

That was when Zeydrt began. Not as a company. But as a belief.

That art should mean something.

04 — Conviction

The Hardest Part Was Believing It Still Mattered

Starting Zeydrt wasn't easy.

Finding artists who still painted entirely by hand… Convincing them their work still had a place in the world… Choosing to move slowly in a world that rewards fast…

There were moments of doubt.

But every time I thought about giving up, I remembered that painting.

The one that stayed.

And I kept going.
